Kisspeptin is a naturally occurring peptide hormone that plays a central role in regulating the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis. It activates KISS1 receptors in the hypothalamus, stimulating the release of GnRH, which in turn influences downstream LH and FSH secretion.
